Immigration to Greece-About Greek pink cards and blue paper
Greek blue paper is a Greek residence waiting paper issued by the Greek immigration service. It is a very effective temporary pass.
The blue paper is only valid for one year. In other words, you are a legal temporary resident of Greece during this year.
The blue paper:
Some people want to apply for residence permit in Greece because they have free movement of 26 Schengen countries in Europe, basically including all European countries that people often visit.
It is not possible to travel around the Schengen country with blue paper. The blue paper was only approved by Greece. You can enter and exit Greece within the validity period, but you are not eligible to travel to other countries in the Schengen country!
Greek pink card
The Greek pink card is the residence permit, it also called "pink card", because it has the pink color. The holder has free movement in 26 Schengen countries.
The benefit of blue paper and pink cards
1. Can blue paper holders apply for school?
Yes. You can apply for public school in Greece for free education or apply for private school for pure British education.
2. Can pink card holders apply to schools in other EU countries?
For secondary education, it is possible, but depending on the country policy. France, Germany and the Nordic countries are very lenient;
Higher education depends on the different requirements of different universities. Generally, the application procedures of public universities in the EU countries are clearly divided into several different categories, such as "national students", "the EU students" and "foreign students". After holding a long-term residence in the EU countries, they can pass the "EU students" channel application. The permanent residence holders much simpler application conditions than "foreign students", and also has great advantages in terms of tuition fees.
3.May blue paper holders and pink card holders working and do business?
You cannot be employed, but you can do business (the legal person must be Greek or the EU status holders, the applicant can be a shareholder). The freelancers are not subject to this restriction.
4. Can I enjoy free medical treatment with a pink card?
The residence permit holders can enjoy free public hospital. You only need to pay medical insurance costs about 300 euros per year for per person.
Greek nominations requirements:
1. Non-criminal record;
2. 50,000 euros bank statement;
3. Medical report (AIDS, hepatitis B, tuberculosis and general items)
4. Real estate certificate;
